Tomorrow, I'm running my first "race" since the marathon. It's a Turkey Trot 5K. 3.1 miles. Easy peasy. Well, it would be easy peasy if my legs were feeling a bit better. Also, I'm not really racing. I'm just going to run it and see what happens. I'm not going to push it to race pace yet.
My hamstrings are still troublesome. They don't hurt nearly as much as they did last week, but they are a bit sore.
I've run several times this week, but never more than 3 miles. I'll be pleased when I can get back to a normal running routine.
In other news...
- my parents visited last week. Their visit was nice, but I always feel like they are bored when they're here. My mother has hip problems so we can't walk a lot. Neither one of them drinks anymore, so that also leaves out much of what Savannah is known for. We went out for dinner a few times and went shopping, but I never know what to do when the visit.
- This weekend is the only weekend this month we don't have visitors. Lots of rest. And maybe a cocktail.
- I'm getting a massage on Saturday. I can't wait.
- I'm looking forward to the short work week next week. Thanksgiving can't get here quick enough!
